Sewing
Last year, I really got into sewing, and since then, I have been experimenting primarily with denim fabric. I have sewn jeans and bags, focusing on upcycling and recycling.
I love sewing because it is highly creative, has no limits, and continuously offers new techniques to learn.
For now, my goal is simply to keep enjoying sewing and work on a collection.
Bartending
Bartending is something that has always interested me. Last summer I finally did a 4 weeks international bartending course with European Bartending School (EBS), which gave me so much experience and knowledge about bartending.
The course included history and theory about spirits, flair, bar-practice and taste-testing. I've learnt 66 recepies for different cocktails and now feel confident about the essential parts of bartending.
Painting
Painting is a creative and playful outlet for me. I do it whenever I have time—either alone or with friends.
Ever since I was a child, I have had a good eye for colors and shapes, and I always found art class in school the most exciting.
Nowadays, I use painting as a medium for self-expression, trying to keep it fun and free from expectations.
DJing
DJing is something I have only done a few times, but I find it really fun.
The video is from my first DJ set, at Valborg på Campus—a major event for students in Umeå. The event had 4,000 attendees, and I was asked to play a few months in advance. I had no prior experience but saw it as a great opportunity to learn something new and exciting.
Since that set, I have played three more gigs at smaller events, doing it only on request and when I have time.
Family and Friends
My family and friends mean everything to me. In my free time, I love spending time with them, including my boyfriend, Jakob. We have been together for 1.5 years and have lived together for one year.
On weekends and holidays, I always spend time with my loved ones—it’s my way of recharging.
